XP Install Problem

Hey,
Having a problem installing windows xp, after i format hard disk and try to install setup windows xp an error msg comes up saying that a certain .dll file or .exe file cannot be copied. It happens with alot of important system files so i cant install windows. What is the problem here and what can i do to fix?

Hiya DAMD
It's a long shot, but i had the same problem when installing XP Pro on an old laptop. The problem was the drive over heating. I ended up with an ice box under the laptop and a huge fan blowing on to it. It took 2 hours to install but it worked.
