rollover info

On my old Dell when I held my cursor over a jpeg, word.doc, folder or other item the info box would pop up telling me the size of the file and other info. Just received a new Dell but I can't figure out how to turn that feature on! Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Airpix

Control Panel - Folder Options. Click 'View' tab.
Scroll down to 'Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items'.
Tick it to enable.

Thanks pip22 but unfortunately that doesn't do the trick. I'm most interested in viewing jpeg file sizes when I place the cursor over the image file, say on the desktop. Your suggestion works on folders and word.docs but not the image files! Perhaps the jpeg, tiff, etc extensions are not recognized somehow? Any other ideas?
Thanks, Airpix
