right click response time is very slow

i have windows xp pro.
the response time when i right click on a file in too slow to open the context menu.

i have read about this problem and they say if you disable the network it works normally. i did that and disabled the network and it works fine.

does anyone know the solution of this problem? disabling the network is not a solution because i use the network.

please help

the pc i have at work has 512MB ram with a broadband connection.
My personal computer at home is P4 2.0 GHz has 512MB RAM, no broadband or dial-up but its connected directly to another P3 Pc.

both computers, my personal one and the one i have at work have the same problem.

disabling the network solves the problem.

Thanks for the help.

Ok its seems the fault of registery for network ..try to clean your registery with some good registery cleaner software like registery mechanic.....if the problem still exist then ...try a proxy setting setting for your network...also change you windows Xp theme to clasic ...thx
