turning on system restore

turning on system restore

how do you turn on system restore? cos i dont see it in the menu under accessories, tools

nevermind but how do i delete the xp system? when i restart it saying i have two of them on here and to select one of them

go to start and run type boot.ini its a text file then remove the other option., it works fine

Systems Restore Is Programs,accessories, Systems Tools, Scroll Down There You Will Find Restore If You Right Click You Can Do A Shortcut To Your Desktop

i dont need to know where restore is. i need to know how to delete the extra xp. cos when i restart my computer it says i have 2 of them and to select one.

IF you had 2 on your system one would corrupt the other, is there anywhere, apart from message that you can see 2 of them, as as soon as you installed one it would overwrite the other one.

Does it prompt you to which windows you want and are they on two different partitions. As quoted windows will not allow you to install more than one version of windows per partition. If it prompts you to select one of the two installs this is what u should do.


Go to your start menu and type msconfig, in the window that loads click on the "BOOT.INI" tab.
When that tab loads click "Check All Boot Paths". It will automatically check your boot paths and remove the ones not being used anymore.

Report back and let us know how it works.

To turn on System Restore simply right click My Computer and click Properties. Then click System Restore.
