Horrible Internet Setup Problem with Windows
Ok this is a really annoying problem that I need to fix A.S.A.P. before I get entirely mad with Microsoft's generlizations on how everything "Should" Work..
Ok the problem is that with my other computer that I just reformatted and reinstalled windows on, I am trying to setup the internet connection like I did when I first did it though my memory is bad and I am unsure if I am doing it right. I am trying to setup the internet and so far I see no possible way of doing it manually, everything I click about connecting to broadband without a password or screenname all it says is "" and when I try to find any way of doing it manually that seems to be the only message I find, and the most annoying part is it isn't doing it automatically like everything says!!! I've tried resetting my modem and router and this computer picked it up but not the other one... I've also tried unhooking and re-hooking up each cable and it didn't work either... I am using a D-Link DCM-201 Modem and a D-Link Dl-514 Router and though I highly doubt it will help, I am running Windows XP Professional SP1. Please help in anyways possible to tell me how I can get this to work!
