Roaming Profiles / Dial in !?

Hi,

Is it possible to set up a laptop to use roaming profiles when connected via network, but local settings when using the "log on using dial in" option?

RoamNet from Claria is the only software that I know of that will allow you to do this, but you might want to watch out for adware, as is the reputation of Claria aka Gator, which Microsoft just acquired.

Any other options? - I'm working for a local gov and the security of what can be installed is very tight!

Help... I'm struggling with this now !

We've got 4 users who have 3G cards as they need complete remote access, but 'cos the company use roaming profiles, it takes far too long for them to log on each time.

There must be a way to setup XP to only use Roaming Profiles when connected to the network via port replicator/network cable!?
