Hiya matelot

At this stage i would try running sfc. sfc is a program that is built in to Windows, to try and repair damaged/corrupted system files.
Go to 'Start' and select 'Run'. Type sfc / scannow (note the space after sfc)
If it can, Windows will repair any damaged file/s
