Can't see wireless network

Hi
Can somebody help a mac user with a Windows XP problem?

Last night I set up a Linksys WRT54GS Wireless Router with a Comcast connection. It was hooked up via a Dell desktop and I followed the Wizard that came with the Router. Everything went well and the Dell (which is running Windows 2000) is working fine. My Apple Powerbook 12" is seeing the wireless network just fine and connecting successfully as well.

The problem is a Gateway M320X Notebook which is running XP Service Pack 2. When I got to 'View Wireless Network' area in XP it is not displaying the wireless network. FYI the network has no encryption enabled as I wanted to keep things simple. I have downloaded all the XP updates available and restarted the notebook after each update but it is still not seeing the network.

Can anybody help please?

All the Best!

P.S. Mac is good. I would replace my dual Xeon with Power Mac in a heart bit.

Thanks. I was beginning to give up hope.
I will read the article you have referenced. I was wondering whether it had something to do with the firewall so I'll look into it.

With regard to the comment about the IP address being wrong, I assume that XP defaults to a DHCP connection for wireless networks.
