Question Restricted Access

Hi,

I'm the administrator of my home PC. I wanted to know if there is any way to deny access to certain programs/features/folders/drives to other Limited users. For example, I dont want other users to be able to open the Network Connections folder, the WINDOWS folder, changing the wallpaper etc etc.

Is there any software/tool that can do all this??

Thanx in advance

I believe their is one called "Fortress" idk what the price is for that, idk if its free either. But I know that my school used it, it was a good program, but as all progarms, it was easy to bypass if you really knew what your doing. But i mean, unless the people u wanna lock out are computer junkies, then you should be really safe about that.

You Admin does it through Group Policy....you can go to Run and type in gpedit.msc and it will take you the policy editor... BE VERYCAREFULL with policy editor , you could lock yourself out if you make a mistake, also look at the blog for some hints and tips.

Unhappy

I did some googling and then tried out the Group Policy editor. But to my surprise I've seen that even other Limited Users are able to use the Group policy editor and make changes to it !!!

I found a software called Security Administrator 10.1 which does the trick but its a shareware

PLZ HELP !!!!
