XP Shell

When i log into my xp portable no desktop appears, all i get is an explorer window and thats it!! is there a shell setting somewhere?

please help if you can

when you log in, use ctrl+alt+delte, and click on the "processes" tab
Scroll threw the list and see if you see anything that says "explorer" if you do, end the process.

Either after you have ended or the process, or you didnt find it. Click on file in the Task manager and click on New Task...
type in "explorer" and click enter? did it work?
if it didnt, boot your comp in safe mode and tell me if it works after that

nah that didnt work, wot i did was i looked at the shell script in the registry and copied that to my pc! all sorted now!
