installing new printer

I installed software for an HP Officejet 5510 all in one. Following directions- I installed software from CD and plugged it in (USB) when prompted. At that time, "Found new hardware" window popped up. Says unable to install can't find file. Option is to click finish. I click finish.. and it just keeps popping back up and popping back up and popping back up! What is going on?? Any ideas? What can I do to stop this???
