Problem deleting files...

Hi. Two problems.

For the past few days I've been sorting through my PC deleting old files that I no longer need. I've run across a lot of files that for some reason I cannot delete.

At one point I shared my PC with another person but now only I use it. Under Documents & Settings where all the user document folders are, the other user's folder is still present. It's empty, I think, but I cannot delete it, access it, or move it. It gives me a prompt that tells me access is denied.

My account is under Administrative, and only my account is present in the User Accounts. There are other files similar to this (such as an old directory of microsoft frontpage that will not delete) that I would like to know how to get around and remove from my computer.

My second is not that big of a deal but it's kind of annoying. My computer name is a long alphanumeric string that's impossible to remember. I want to know if there's anyway I can easily change it.
PC Info:

Dell Demension 2350
Windows XP Home 5.1, Build 2600, SP2
Thanks for any help.

1. Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced tab -> Settings button (User Profiles subsection) -> remove old profile.

2. Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Computer Name tab -> Change button.

I managed to change my PC's name, thanks for that.

But the first answer didn't work. I'm trying to delete the documents folder of the older user. Her account is no longer on the system, only mine and the guest. My profile is administrative but I still get an access denied prompt. I don't know if this is because she had a password on her profile before it was deleted or what, but I can't do anything to the file. Below is a screenie of the prompt, and the file I'm trying to delete ("Shelly Taito" folder).

I'm pretty sure it's not something from her profile, because there are a few other files that react the same way, and they are file directories of programs I have downloaded.

... if it doesn't help, try in Safe Mode.
If not, google for Killbox or MoveOnBoot.
