odd zip file problem

just noticed the other day that all of a sudden, that some zip files aren't showing html files inside of them when the file is opened as a folder. if its opened w/ another seperate program, they show up. but if i use XP to open it, it won't show, and extrating doesn't work properly. i get an error saying the directory doesn't exist. and when i goto the file it made, it has everything other than the html file. it doesn't happen to all files either. only ones that have the html in the inital file. rather than in a subdirectory in the file. any html that is in a subdirectory shows and extracts properly. any idea why this happened, or how to fix this?

running XP Pro, non SP. XP1700 processor, 768ram.. only other archive program is Winrar.
