setting 'List View' as default view in windows?

setting 'List View' as default view in windows?

How could i set up windows xp to default to LIST view whenever i opened up any given folder

i found the answer in a another thread

"First, set your folders the way that you want them (list or detail), then right-click Start > Explore > Tools > Folder Options > View

Click the button that says "Apply to All Folders"
