Question Uninstall Windows xp

Hope some one can guide me through the process of removing xp from computer. In talking with microsoft the incredible helpful geek told me to uninstall period. So helpful , being as i could hardly understand them i am hoping someone can help me here. This is not my computer it is my sisters. Her daughter set herself down and removed files and god knows what all then sold her copy of xp to one of her friends. So in the end after listening to my sister gripe how her computer doesnt work right i attempted to fix it and got it up and going again only to get a call a week later it doesnt work. Enough i want to remove xp and re start from new disk. Anyone have the solution to removing it properly. i want to fix it one more time and not need to come back. Thanks

You need to get yourself a Windows XP cd. once you have that it's easy.
To completely remove it depends on what you want to install after you remove it, if you want to get windows XP back on as if from factory. Just pop the Windows XP cd into the drive and boot from it. It has a option in the setup that says
Format. there you should select tha Normal format not the quick one. It should then delete everything from the drive. and leave it clean. ready for the installation that follows the setup.

Once Windows is up and running, you can set upo a limited account for both your Sister and your lovely niece. So that they cannot remove any system files or delete stuff that they are not supposed to.

If the CD won't boot you'll probably have to go into the bios, and set the boot order to CD first then HD. If you need more help, dont hesitate to post back.
