internet explorer address bar

A question - My address bar used to be just the block for the address but now there is a block for search the web before the address bar. Can someone tell me how to get it back to just the block for the address and the go arrow. This is just an annoyance.

Assuming you're using Internet Explorer, in IE go to View>Toolbars and uncheck whatever toolbars listed there you don't want showing.

If you can identify the search bar, then go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and if the search bar is listed there, uninstall it.

It is not a search bar, it is a search block that has appeared on the address bar. I have added and removed all the bars and it is something that is on the address bar of internet explorer. It was not there in the past. It has a drop down that says you can search for white and yellow pages, map of zip code, weather and movies of town of zip. Thank u for ur reply.

U solved the problem. I went to tools and then internet options and then programs and then to manage add-ons and disabled the ms search. Now the address bar just contains the address and the go button.
