Try going into Disk Managment see if it shows up there. It Would be in control Panel, Administrative tools, Computer Managment, Storage, Disk Management.
It Should be there if it is at all recognized as a Drive. then you can attempt to format it from there.
Hope this helps. if it does not help, you might have to take it out of the enclosure, and plug it in directly into the machine. internally, and fdisk it from a dos prompt via a boot disk.
