FREEZE "right click, new, folder"

Hi all,

whenever i right-click/new/ folder, the computer freezes for approx 5secs.

there is another thread with similar title but the info there doesnt help my situation unfortunately.

i know its not the end of the world, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi!

This problem can be often related with Windows Explorer itself. It can appear for example if right button menu has a link to programs that you uninstalled ages ago. There is a whole class of register cleaner utilities. They repair links to non-existent programs. For ex: http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-dow...cleaner4.3.htm.

Of course, cardinally the problem can be solved via reinstalling Operation System. I had the same problem - after this operation it works well for 2 months already.
