Windows Update stalls!

Whenever i try to use windows update, it scans complete, and it seems like i could install the updates, but when i choose to downaload them, the download bar doesn't move at all, it just stays saying ''Preparing to download.''How can i fix this?

That solution is not it, when i try to install them, it just stalls, and the download bar doesn't move at all!

ive got the same problem, but in my case i think its cause i use opera, although last weekend it worked fine, could be the site.

I've noticed the update site has been unstable for awhile. I have had trouble with the installs hanging. Opera worked in the update site?
