Internet Explorer opens up a page in it's own

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forums and would like to find out if anyone else has experienced this and what their fix to this problem was. As soon as I dial up to the internet, a browser page opens up and takes me to my home page. It never used to do this before and it is quite annoying. Can anyone help?

Hi that is normal practice, what do you want it to open up to, if you want it altered go to internet options connections and alter it from in there.

Hi There, many thanks for your reply. I don't think I've explained myself correctly, but what I meant to say was that an Internet Explorer window opens up immediately after I dialup to the internet - kind of like an 'open explorer after dialup' setting or something, but i can't find a setting to get it to not do this.
