cant get passed Xp activation ??

every time i log in to windows it says you must activate this windows product ... so i click "yes" it takes me to the activation screen which says "your windows product has already been activated" (which it has) then i click okay... but it then just logs me out again. i try the same sequence again but its just takes me in a loop askin me to activate then logging me out again !

i have re installed xp(repair function) but no luck ! safe mode doesnt do any thing and i cant get into my computer !

any ideas?

Wayne

If you have a legal copy of the operating system then you should try calling Microsoft.

Cheers

i dont think that because you are in the UK that microsoft cannot help you, i believe their help line is an 800 number and works across the globe.
So you can call there support center and they will help you
i had a problem where when i reinstalled windows and tried to activate it, for some reason it would say that my cd key is invalid, so i called the support center and they helped me fix the problem. Your problem isnt exactly the same but im sure that if you try calling them they can help you out, unless you do not have a legal copy of windows and your cd key is not valid, but if it is legal and valid then they should be able to help you.
I suggest trying that before screwing around with the registry.
