Dual OS

I have Windows 98 as well as Windows XP. A few programs installed in Win98 run in WinXP too but others don't. Is there any way to have the others run in XP too? Like manipulating the Application Data folder or something so that I don't need to install the software programs twice?
Regards,
Speedy

No, It's impossible, if your programs don't work in XP, it means that you couldn't do anything with them. Because Win98 is older edition, and your programs were made for it, as XP is later and upgrade edition. Your programs couldn't be upgrade, only if you find special upgrades for definite program.

You can try and run them in "compatibility mode". Right click on the program icon and select "properties". Next select the mode you wish to run in from the drop down list (ex. W98). May or may not help.

I am some what unclear of what you ask. Are you saying that the programs you wish to run, WIll RUN on XP or WILL NOT? If they will when installed and you simply only want to install on the 98 side, then simply find the shortcut (on the 98 side) to start the program while in XP and create a new one.
