Hi there should be underneath where it asks for your password, another message forgot your password click on that and follow the instructions, it will normally ask you for a question you give the answer to, once in there you may either reset your password or set up another then write your password down somewhere or download it to either a flash reader or a floppy.
Hope this helps

Do you remember the password which you set during the installation of the OS? If you remember it, try to change your user login password in the Administrator account.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del when the system is starting up.
Login: Administrator.
Password: type this password.

Try to remove the battery in your motherboard for a few minutes then insert again, After booting it will not ask you a password.

I'm going to assume you have access to the Net by some other computer.
(I'm not condoning or pushing this, just saying it's available) Simply do a search, and you will find any number of programs, some based on Linux, that will allow you to reset the password of any account that is found on your box.
You will need to burn it to a CD in order to use it, but it's not hard to do.
I use these programs every day in a university environment where employees leave and don't tell anyone their password. Security is a joke in the average university office, and often necessary information is left on these computers.
I'm not going to suggest any "hack" programs for obvious reasons, just be aware that they exist and can make your life much easier if you use them in a responsible manner.
