Installing Windows XP on a different machine.

Hello,
I am building a new machine. I plan on installing Windows XP on the new machine and putting Linux on my current machine.

The only hardware I am keeping on the new machine is my video card and soundcard. Am I going to have a problem activating Windows XP on my new machine?

If so how do I solve the issue.

Thanks,
Nick

If your copy of XP has never been activated, your new machine meets minimum requirements for XP and all of your hardware and software is XP compatible than you should be OK to go.

If your trying to move a copy of XP that has been activated on another computer, than yes there is a problem. Microsoft will not allow you to activate XP on two different machines.
