Angry CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work

When I boot the Windows my computer goes to the Welcome screen and require ctrl-alt-del input. When I clikc on these keys - nothing happens. Can anyone have any idea why and how to get around it? I cannot get into windows.

Hi,

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice then login as administrator using the password you set for the admin account when you installed windows, then goto Start-->Run and type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes-->click the "Advanced" tab-->under "Secure logon" uncheck "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete".

If you have XP home you can logon to the admin account from safe mode.

Thanks, but even entering the ctrl+alt+del twice doesn't work ... There is no response from Windows (XP-PRO)

If you have access to another keyboard try that. Maybe also try in safe mode.

Tried, result the same. I tried every mode but they all require entering the same keys combination at welcome screen.

It looks like you may have to do a repair install. Follow the instructions from here
http://www.theeldergeek.com/repairing_windows_xp.htm scroll down page where you'll see the section on how to do a repair install without loosing your data. Hope you have your XP Pro cd handy.
