'No Audio Device' another one of these.

Hey all.
Since having my computer fixed due to problems with it, i have had no sound.
it says on the sounds, speech & audio devices that there is 'No Audio Device'.
I have tried all the troubleshooting etc but nothing seems to work.
i have read through lots of the other topics to try & get soem help but nothing works.
On looking through the other topics i noticed alot of people saying they have yellow exclamation marks by their C Media Audi Device, i also have one of these.
So i was wondering if there was anyone out there who could possible help me?
I also downloaded the Belarc Advisor..

Main Circuit Board.
Board: ECS K7S5A 1.0
Bus Clock: 66 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 07.00T 04/02/01

Multimedia
C-Media AC97 Audio Device
Logitech Microphone (Messenger)
MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
Standard Game Port

please help if you can.
oh another thing, a few days ago i decided to see whether it was something to do with my sound card, so i unplugged my computer but i fount that i had 2 sound cards.
one was built into the unside & the other was in a slot.
*confused*
please help its driving me mad not having no sound. Ive even brought new speakers & had no luck.
xx

Ensure that the correct sound device is set as the default device in sounds & audio devices[via control panel on the audio tab]
Then you could look in the BIOS to see if there is a setting to enable the PCI soundcard.
Then, if necessary go to the item in device manmager with the mark, right click and uninstall, then reboot and it will reinstall the drivers.

Restart your computer and press del as it's starting up. This will bring you to the set up and you should be able to find the "disable on board sound" or the equivalent.
Unless you want to use the on board sound , in which case you probably just need to re-plug in the speaker jacks into the onboard sockets.[the on-board sound will be the one that isn't in the slot]
