Look again at device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers, expand and look for a listing that just gives sound, if we can identify the sound device we can get an updated driver.

If you can't find this information download Belarc Advisor here http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
and post the findings.

Hope this helps

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Then go back to PCChips http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWeb/Dow...uID=35&LanID=0

get the Pctel AMR/CNR modem driver, this is a audio modem and will be linked to sound.

Your video is linked to your graphics driver, do you have a disc for your graphics?

Hope this helps
