Set a System Restore Point just in case

Then go back to PCChips site and download the AGP driver, this is the onboard graphics.

Hope this helps

Thanks, Barbara.

However, after I installed the program, My sound isn't on. I tried to consult the troubleshooter provided by Windows but it cannot solve my problem.

Before I have this problem, this driver was installed. But it suddenly disappeared somehow and Device Manager cannot find it. After I installed this program, it can find my driver but the sound still doesn't come out. What is my problem? Thanks in advance.

The P4S800D-X board appears to be an Asus, checked Foxconn and they don't appear to make sound cards. This board has SoundMax onboard audio.

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Go here to Asus http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us
Top left under Download / Input Model to Search - type P4S800D / P4S800D-X / Audio / there is your sound driver, Soundmax

Hope this helps

I suspect it's been disabled in the BIOS, now I have been into the BIOS on my secondary machine, but it is not something I am an expert on, start a new thread and ask how to enable sound in AMI BIOS, one of the experts on this is sure to answer.

Cheers

Mine is similar to Marshy666's... I have an Asus P4S800 Motherboard. I went to the same site you recommended him and installed the sound drivers for my motherboard but nothing happened

When I downloaded the file, the install application just didn't load and there was nothing else that seemed avaliable

I am running on XP Home
