Not entirely sure what information you need. Oh... also, under audio adapter, though I don't think it's installed anymore, it was listed as SiS 7012 audio device.

hope that's enough...

According to Asus this board has Soundmax audio, go here to SiS this programe will show what SiS chipsets are on your system, just copy and paste the results, then we can go to Asus for the drivers http://www.sis.com/support/support_prodid.htm

accept the installation, you may need to install an Active X to run, Iv'e used this on an SiS board so it is safe.

Hope this helps

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Then go here to Asus http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us

top left Input Model to Search - type P4S533-MX / P4S53-MX / Audio / the driver is Soundmax

Hope this helps

My suspicion is that it is not enabled in the BIOS, this happened on an SiS board I had, I'll have a look at what to do with an Award BIOS and get back

Cheers

hello, I have this problem installing a driver for my sound card, when I try to install it, it just says "Waiting for audio driver to be ready..." and doesnt do anything, when I click exit it says its done installing and asks me to restart, but when I do it does nothing and still no sound.
my sound card is: C-Media CMI8738/C3DX Audio Device PCI
specs:
windows xp sp2
amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 3800+
1gb ram
say if more info needed
thanks
p.s, I also saw one guy here around page 52 I think, I tried what he said, basically to install with the windows device driver search, but it didnt work, it went stuck when it was in the end of the installation :/

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Then go here to Dell http://support.euro.dell.com/support...os=WW1&osl=EN#

download the Chipset driver, then RESTART your comp, then if still no Sound install the ADI 198x again

Hope this helps
