intel 82801eb ich5 ac '97

as my motherboard is a soltek SL-86MIP-L, i installed the driver for audio from the official website.

But still no luck, then after reading all of these posts i released that i had to install the intel chipset driver first(also downloaded it from the official site)

Si I did and installed the audio driver again, still no luck.

Then i installed 3 other audio drivers from 3 different sites and still no luck.

I hope you can help me

When you download the file, a security dialogue box will appear asking you what to do,make a note of the file name - choose Save to Disc - then choose a location from the dropdown list - the desktop is a good place, easy to find. After download, navigate to desktop and double click on the file, it will install itself, just follow instructions.

Don't forget set a System restore Point just in case.

Hope this helps

The information is not enough, SiS-655FX is the chipset No; not the motherboard, can you give the make and model or post more of the printout, there is not enough to identify the system.

Hope this helps

Set a System Restore Point before installation of each driver

Your board is a D865PERL

Go here http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21

No: 4 is your Sound driver
No: 5 is the Intel chipset Software Installation Utility.

You must install No: 5 first then restart your comp
then install No: 4 your sound driver

Hope this helps

When you get to the site, the driver you want is shown as
Windows 98Gold/98se/Me/2000/XP/2003(32/64) shown as A3.79 choose one of the download sites. The warning is the File Download-Security Warning dialogue box - click Save - the Save As dialogue box will open - choose a location to save, the Desktop or the MyDocuments folder, somewhere you can easily find, make a note of the file name. After download complete, to install navigate to where you saved the file, double click the file , and it will install itself.

Don't forget set a System restore Point just in case

Hope this helps
