Hi Im having the same problem. I had sound this morning but my sister was using the computer she said it froze then when she restarted there was no sound.

Now under the Multimedia Audio Controller there is the yellow question mark and under my volume tab theres no audio device. But when I try to install the driver it says that the set-up could not detect a sound blaster audio card.

Thanks in advance if you can help

One point are your radio jacks near the keyboard + mouse sockets, if they are lower down the tower in an exspansion socket, then this onboard driver will not work. But if they are at the top of the tower instll the driver below.

Go back to Intel, install No:9 INF then RESTART your comp, then install audio driver again

DON'T FORGET THE RESTORE POINT

Hope this helps
