Hi. I need some help as well. I've been searching the 'Net for about thirty minutes now and the people you've been helping seem satisfied so maybe you'll be able to help me, too!

I have no audio. My Device Manage lists Multimedia Audio Controller under Other Devices with a yellow question mark and exclamation mark icon next to it. I would just install a driver for my audio card, but my audio card is not listed under Sound, Video, And Game Controllers like my (Linux and partially Windows) tech-savvy friend said it should be, so I have no clue what kind of driver to get.

Do I ever need a driver? How do I get audio? I might have sounded like I know about computers from my explanation of the problem, but that's just because some of my friend's 'savvyiness' has rubbed off on me; please, please treat me as a beginner!

Do you need any information? If so, what?

Can anyone help? I've been looking on these forums for sound help since my recent problem and thought I would ask for assistance.

Go to Asus and download the audio file,
Then what I do is create a folder for what you are downloading.

Example: Audio
then downloads the zipped audio file to that folder.

Then download and install winzip.
Go to the folder and right click and click winzip extract to here.

That will make automatically make a folder and unzip the files to it.
Make a note of the folder
Then just go into the folder and double click on the
ALCXWDM System File 644kb file and follow the instructions displayed for installations.

Hope this helps
