Emachines give no download driver support, this is your motherboard, the Audio is Realtek ALC series.

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case

Hope this helps

in top left corner under Download it says " Input model to search" / enter A7V133-C/In Category select Drivers / select A7V133_C / Drivers tab / You have 2 choices of drivers, they are both v1.40a Via audio Driver, one for XP alone, another Via Audio Driver 1.40a - Audio patch Driver for Windows, this is the one I would choose. It's a zip file.

Just tried the site, it's a bit hit and miss but after a few attemps I got it to download, the Taiwan worked immediatley, and then the USA site worked.

To create a Restore point go to srart/ all programes/accessories/system tools/system restore/ create a restore point/next/give a name/create/close

If there are any problems, you can restore the comp to the way it was before the drivers were installed. Saves a lot of headaches believe me, I even set restore points before installing win updates.

Hope this helps

I choose the zip file because it was an updated version, the multimedia Audio controller shows this fault when the audio driver is not installed. Your board has a VIA chipset, that is how I knew that this was the driver. Also this is the motherboard maker, there drivers are pretty reliable.

Hope this helps

Take a look at this
the model at the back is the model of the case. a whole series will will have the same model at the back (like pcv 2253 will be the model at the back for all pcvrs600 series computer). the model in front of the tower/ntbk is the model for the computer itself.

serial code will be on a thin white sticker with a barcode. it should start with either 28 or 29. if you cant find it there at the back/bottom you can check it at the vaio system information

Can you see pcvrs600 on the front of your comp,

Hope this helps

Didn't look far enough, go here to get your driver http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...ceghdgngdgnj.0

It's listed as Driver Sound, it;s a Realtek Audio Driver for Windows XP

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Hope this helps
