The download from support.asus.com was what did it. When I turned on the speakers and they blasted me with sound even though it was extremely loud it was still a beautiful sound. Again, thanks for aiding me in my pursuit for restored sound.

Unfortunately it didn't work all the way. I still don't have sound for certain internet applications like internet radio or google video or youtube or some other application as such and it still says "No sound device". Any thoughts as to what the problem could be?

Check this first
Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Properties / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

update the chipset driver
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21
No:4 - INF Update Utility - then Restart your comp

get the audio from Realtek http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

download the (Executable file) save to desktop double click to install

Hope this helps

Cheers

"These guys" were a little busy, but it turns out that it was all a settings problem and while playing around with the settings I corrected the problem.
Thanks anyway; glad that there are people like you out there to help people with PC problems because they can be some of the most frustrating.

I've done that, and Installed the Drivers, and it tells me "Installation Failed", And I'm pretty sure I've never seen that before.
