Thanks Narcist

I use CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ (Free) it's a niffy little programe, cleans all bits of ( excuse the wording ) crap and has a registry cleaner as well, wth backup included. One thing it clears all your password so watch out. I've used for about 3 years now and the comp zips along after. Startups are a different matter, not too clued up on that, but these guys may help http://72.29.80.128/Forum/

get these Spyware cleaners

Unhappy HELP Bookworm!!

Hi Bookworm, I've read a great deal throughout this thread, and many others and haven't had much luck with solving my sound problems on my Gateway computer I got some kind of virus on it, and had to reload the MS XP media center OS. and voila` no more sound. Grrrrrrrr! However, Bookworm I noticed that you have the highest rate of success of helping folks with their sound issues. I originally had conexant ac-link audio in my device manager. I uninstalled it thinking it was the problem, because it didn't like any of the drivers I downloaded. Now, I apparently have multimedia audio controller there. geeez. I have no multi-media devices listed in the Belarc report. This is hopless. Help Bookworm. Thnx.
