I tried to install the first driver, but i got an error:
"For the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility a supported chipsetplatform is needed on a supported OS."
What should i do? Here is my information:

im having the exact same problom that in the device manager the multimedia audio controller its signd with a yellow question mark..
i did what all the others did and heres what i got
Board: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. P4P800SE Rev 2.xx
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 080009 09/01/2004
under multimedia it only said usb audio device.. it didnt even mention the multimedia audio controller
can you please help me..
btw i have no idea how do i find out what my sound card is
i have windows xp sp2

Go here to Dell and install the chipset driver - RESTART your comp

Then install audio again

Very similar to belarc, but gives different info, look over the tower a label with info on if possible should give make, model and serial number ( S/N
