Hey. I just FDisked and Reinstalled XP Home and I can't find the sound drivers for this Mobo. It's an integrated Sound Chip. Also I think that I may not remember to come back to this board if it's not answered in like 3 days (which upon checking out this site i know that's not the case), but I was wondering if you'd do a favor for me and e-mail the results to asseenontv20 (at) gmail (dot) com once you find out what drivers I need for the sound card anyways. I'm a Computer Tech (A+ Cert) and i should now where to find it, but this mobo is giving me problems. Thanks for the assistance!

(P.S.) I have also set a System Restore Point like bookworm has suggested many times :3

Hello, ive been reading through the forums trying to figure out the answer to my problem as i hate asking for help but seems I have made it no where.
About 2 months back everything was working fine, then went on vacation for 2 weeks and when i got back my mic would not work. I asked some friends about the problem and they said my onboard sound probaly went out so i bought a new sound card hoping to end the problem, which it did not. So i reformated and this also solved nothing. I am using windows XP Pro SP2, i have a ASUS P4s533/333/133 series MOBO with the SiS 645 chip series, i have installed all the audio drivers on the cd which comes with it, and the updates on their website. The sound card i bought is a Sound Blaster Audigy and its not detecting the mic as an input device either. The mic will work for about 5 - 10 min on teamspeak then it will just up and stop working. So if you have any idea as to what may be the problem please help.

It's not picking up the SiS audio, can you check if it is enabled in the BIOS, take care, I write down every move I make. This is Sony's instruction

1 • Start your VAIO
2 • When you see the Sony logo, press F2 or press the Esc button several times.
3 • Once in the BIOS, select Advanced using the arrow keys on the keyboard to browse the menus.
4 • Select I/O device configuration.
5 • Select AC 97 audio controler, then select Enable, press ENTER.
6 • Press F10 and then press ENTER to save and exit the BIOS screen.

Hope this helps
