Ok I finally found my post and here is the information on my comp. Just a refresher since it's been a month I posted my problem. I had to reinstall windows xp and when I did my sound no longer works. Need help trying to figure it out. I have the question mark under multimedia audio devices and don't know where to go from there.

Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
