Did you use the update method to install, check this out

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot.

Hi, Ive been trying and trying to fix my audio and video problems. Recently, I caught a virus and my anti-virus detected over 250 threats. I deleted them and found that I had also deleted all my sound and video files. I couldn't even log into my computer. I bought a system recovery disc and now my computer is back and running, but my sound doesn't work and I can't play high graphic games. It says "no audio device." When I go to device Manager, I see many yellow questions marks.

My computer is: Emachines T3124
S/NO: CCA66 N00 05777
Desktop PC

I have many friends say that I can download the sounds off the internet, but I can not find any. If you can also help me with my files in my graphic cards, I would really appreciate it. When I turn on something with high graphics. It says "your graphic card does not support (something...)" although it worked before I had deleted all the files from the virus.

Thank you for your time. =]

Go back to Asus - under Utilities - the Via 4 in 1 driver - install then Restart your comp

then install Soundmax using the Update driver method

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions
