The site is slow

Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

Ethernet a bit more complicated, MS-6580 has 5 versions listed, with different Lan drivers, Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section, the Lan could be in the chipset and everest should show it and the ethernet
Open Everest - expand Computer - select Summary - select Report - Quick Report - HTML . The report opens, using mouse hold the left button and starting at all above Debug-PCI - highlight all the text - when highlighted right click mouse - select Copy.

Under Audio device it still says no device found and audio controller still says drivers not installed. I also have, in addition to my onboard sound, a sound blaster live 5.1, but the sound blaster web site does not see the card. Please help me. thank you.

I WENT TO THAT LINK AND DOWNLOADED THE ANALOG DEVICE DRIVER....NOW ITS ASKING ME DO I WANT TO OVERWRITE THE FILE BECAUSE IT ALREADY EXSISTS.....PLEASE HELP!

Check these out first

Go to Control Panel / Sound & Audio Devices / Audio tab / Sound Playback – click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply > click Start > Reboot.

Try this to see if XP finds the driver and installs

Logon as Administrator
Right click My Computer – choose Properties
Choose hardware Tab – click Device Manager
Expand Sound ,video and game controllers
Right click audio driver – Realtek, Creative etc
Choose Update driver
The Hardware Update Wizard appears
Windows Update – click No, not this time
Click Next
Choose Install from a list or specific location ( Advanced ) radio button
Click Next
The “Please wait while the wizard searches” window appears
If it find and installs the driver click Finish
Click Close
