this didnt work.... but i was able to get my sound card working from that site... but still i have no sound... any other suggestions?

Sound problem

Hiya!! i am having a problem with my Multimdea Audio Controller. When i went to devices there was a yellow question mark next to it and i dont seem to have any sound whatsoeva. heres some info

Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates

well bookworm, i did as you said. installed the drivers.then it asked me to reboot my computer.did it.when ut´s on again it says that a new audio multimedia controller was found and the instalation wizard of the drivers pop in front of me. when i put too search in the net(windows update) it says that it was no possible to conclude the instalation of the multimedia controller.grrr.tired of these machines.any help please?

the picture is how a motherboard looks and how the make and model is printed on it, you will need to pop the side off your computer and look at your board, use a torch, but don't touch the board at all.Then post what you see,

check this to see if Sound Blaster is set as default audio

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on
down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.
