This is a computer that I got from work and I had to format it to remove all the information on it and then reinstall windows so I've got no original cds. I've now done all the updates that microsoft recommends and I was hoping that the driver would come there but no. I've got audio codecs and legacy audio drivers and media control devices listed in device manager but there's a yellow question mark on Multimedia Audio Controller so I suppose I'd need a driver for it.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Belarc is not showing the model or motherboard
Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section
Open Everest - expand Computer - select Summary - select Report - Quick Report - HTML . The report opens, using mouse hold the left button and starting at all above Debug-PCI - highlight all the text - when highlighted right click mouse - select Copy
Then open post – right click mouse – select Paste and the report will insert.

Windows 2003 server
I have installed windows 2003 server on a dell computer. My ADI 198x Integrated Audio Soundmax driver does not install. Before that I had Windows 2000 server installed and audio driver was working absolutely fine. I downloaded driver from here
http://support.euro.dell.com/support...0&fileid=85023
and here
http://support.euro.dell.com/support...0&fileid=76419
where it says that the driver is for Win 2003 server. Tried to install it, but it doesn install.
Anyone could please help me; I cant get sound up my computer
Regards

your Soundmax driver is here at Asus http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us
it's in 3 parts, download all 3 files and extract to 1 folder - then execute the part1.exe file ( double click)
Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions
