i downloaded it and installed it but my sound still doesnt work

check this to see if Realtek is default audio

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on
down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be something “modem line 0 playback” has been substituted for the correct audio device.

Still Don't Work
I Downloaded The Top One, Like You Said
But, It Still Don't Work.. When I Try To Play Music On WMP
This Comes Up

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

And Theres Still A Yellow Question Mark Next To Multimedia Audio....

Hi,
I checked the setting as you said. It is showing Realtek AC97 Audio.

But still, there is no output.

Here is the Belarc from the Vista Home Premium partition which shows the multimedia options whereas in the previous post from the XP pro partition the Belarc did not show any multimedia options. Thank you for your assistance.

The audio is Realtek HD audio and it needs the M$UAA installed as well, go here to realtek and install their driver M$UAA is included

Tick I accept the above – wait till site resets then click Next

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install

The site is slow

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

I downloaded the file from Realtek called WDM_R191; I restarted and booted into the xp partition but when I rerun Belarc it still shows Multimedia as "None Detected".

Not sure what else to do.

Uninstall the driver that's in there now, and go here: http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/d...C-BD97CFEC0998
It's german and a little sluggish.
Tick the little box and press the button next to "download". It's a genuine driver for the board you have.
