after i download realtek ac97 as followed , there is a sound effect icon . but when i click volume control , it told me that there is no mixer device . What can i do from here to get my sound back? pls help me

modle number i think is t320

and thats about all i kno:S please help if ya can

check these out

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device

Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

I'm having the same problem too. I just downloaded the most recent version of Nokia PC Suite, restarted my computer and it tried to install new hardware and wants to install the software for Multimedia Audio Controller. Please help me!

what make and model is your comp, it's not giving the motherboard,just eveshamvale is this the make of your comp.

get Belarc, copy and paste the report but leave out the software license and win update section

under sound and audio devices . it state that there is no audio device and everything is greyed out . and under administrative tools, i have checked that windows audio is already automatic . any more suggestion? Thx for help

Bookworm. its plugged in and everything but when i go to play something it says no mixer device is installed. and i tried doing what you said earlier for the other person but it still wont work. i'm having the same problem as blackspark. everything is gray

Exclamation no sound on laptop =[

i recently put XP back onto my laptop when vista didnt work on it but the sound has not worked since i reinstalled XP Home

i hav an Advent but i dont know what model it is but its a tad old

anyone got any ideas on how to fix my sound problems?

hi!! I've had problems with my sound, I just uninstalled my realtek drivers (don't know if I was supposed to be using them) to have a fresh start.

I need the right sound drivers :P
