try the 3D audio demo

Speaker configuration set to 2Ch Speaker

connector settings got only one option Auto Activate popup-dialog when device conected (Translated from swedish so is not exactly correct)

no sound from 3D audio demo

Just noticed when i mute on soundcontrol my LCD (which have built in speakers which are conected to my pc) notices me of that.
Also tested sound on headphones but still nothing.

try a system file check

go to Run - type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes and note the space after sfc) - have the xp disc available in case sfc needs to repair or replace any files
