your audio driver is here at Dell http://support.euro.dell.com/support..._PNT_P03_GX110

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

Same bloody problem....

It seems I have the same problem as everyone else, I've got zero sound, a nice yellow question mark next to my Multimedia Audio Controller in Device Manager, and Belarc says "None detected" under Multimedia. I've tried going to the links you posted for downloading Gateway drivers, but it redirects me to MPC, who states that my serial number is non-existant. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

System info:
Gateway E-2000 4000792
System Serial Number: 0028104082
Chassis Serial Number: 0028104082

check this first to see if Sound Blaster is set as default audio
Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device

if still no audio install the driver in link below

you have a Creative sound card installed this is the driver, first in list
http://support.creative.com/Products... Sound+Blaster

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions
