All required security hotfixes (using the 05/09/2006 Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary) have been installed.

Please help!!

Thanks,
Sam

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

Are you useing Dell's recovery disks to install or do you have a SoundBlaste CD.
Dell have the SoundBlaster driver here on their site http://support.euro.dell.com/support...&os=WW1&osl=EN

now you can also use Device Manager to install, load the CD then close the programe, go to Device Manager / right click Device with yellow exclamation mark / select Update driver / and it will install driver for you.

hope this helps

According to Belarc you have a Creative SoundBlaster sound card installed, look at the back of the tower, if your radio jacks are set low down away from your keyboard and mouse jacks then it is a sound card.
So go here to Creative, they offer an autoupdate link ( you need to use IE ) http://uk.europe.creative.com/suppor...033&OCXTy pe=

If they are near your keyboard and mouse then you have onboard sound, the MSI MS-6547 motherboard uses Realtek ALC201A go here to get the driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True

Hope this helps :

Can you help?

I have a similar problem with sound. Here are the details from Belarc that I've read in the previous posts to use:

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

Processor:

800 megahertz Intel Pentium III
32 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Main Circuit board
Board: i810-ITE8712
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. 6.00 PG 07/07/2000

Multimedia:

MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
Standard Game Port
Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device

Which driver do I need? Help?
