Bookworm Help Meee Please!!!!

Same problem with the multimedia audio controller.

What kind of information you need... I have a Amd Athlon MP 1800+ 1.53GHz Dual processor (AMD-762 & AMD-768)

I already install the driver from amd web site, and still doesn't work.

What driver did you get from AMD web site. What make, model and number if possible of your computer, the serial number as well. if you don't know get Belarc Advisor http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html copy and paste the results, but don't show the Software Licence section. This will help to find audio drivers and provid links for you.

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

Your board is a Micro Star Int MS-6501 which is the K7D Master.

I download it and when I tried to install it says "Windows XP has native support for AMD Power Management. Installation will now exit"

Ok what make and model is your computer, do you know if you have a sound card installed.Can you check Device Manager and look for any yellow exclamaion or question marks.
Right click My Computer / Properties/ Hardware Tab/ Device Manager

safe site, then log into site and follow this path

left hand pane under Driver / Search / Simple / filter - Sound card / AnyOS - Win XP / model - type K7D Master / Search Database - your audio AMD AC'97

Don't forget the Restore Point just in case

You must be getting completly sick of this post.. but thanks for the effort.
Windows 95 was installed with the computer when we bought it .. we upgraded it to windows xpsp2 and of course no sound. heres the info.

Exclamation multimedia audio controller i guess?

i need help with my sounds don't know aht happened to it it just have this yellow exclamation mark on the icon one day and the com detected a new hardware which is my speakers. they were already installed for some time and now i cannot hear any sounds playing from my computer. so is there anybody who can help me?

Need more information, in Device Manager what is the yellow exclamation refering to exacally. What make and model is your comp, do you have a sound card installed or do you use onboard sound. get Belarc Advisor copy and paste the results, but don't paste the Software licenses section.
