nope it was already automatic. so im not sure what to do now. any other suggestions? (fyi a fast way to get they is to go to run and type services.msc)

go back to Dell and install the Chipset - then Restart your comp

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions

no still no go

. it was on automatic. i checked if the headphones were plugged in, if they worked. i tried every port they can go to, and checked if they worked on other things...they did

...maybe im just not ment to have sound haha. i feel like i have tried everything possible.

you now need to check if audio is [Enabled] in the BIOS this is how - print off so you can refer to

as soon as comp boots press the <Delete> key - click the images to focus

ok i downloaded the file am i suppose to use the system restore now? I can seem to find anything about the audio files when the new program pops up

So, I accidentally uninstalled my multimedia audio controller, and I can't seem to be able to get it back.. No sound comes out of my computer. Please help me? I'm running Windows XP and my processor is a Dell.
