Go here to Realtek to get the driver, choose the (Excutable file ) choose one of the 3 download sites ( they can be slow ) save to Desktop, then double click the downloaded file and follow instructions to install

Hey

Seems like i am having a similar problem to everyone else, in that my computer seems unable to play any audio.

I'm rubbish with computers, but I checked my system on Belarc; and pasted the findings..







Operating System:
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

System Model:
Enclosure Type: Desktop

Main Circuit Board:
Board: Springdale-G
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 12/17/2003

Multimedia:
Logitech Microphone (Pro 4000)
MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
Standard Game Port



any help with this problem would be greatfully recieved!

This is the link to Biostar P4TSV motherboard, your audio is a cmi9739.exe

download the file and save to desktop, double click the downloaded file and an install box will appear, click the Browse and in the tree choose desktop to unzip to , then on this unzipped folder double click the Setup file .

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

This can be difficult to install, have had problems with it before, am in the process of trying to find a solution.

hi, am having similar problems after reformatting with XP, no sound and the little yellow question mark in device manager. plz see belarc info and plzplzplz help before I go even more bananas, read entire thread and i think i might explode
